  1. Very good sounds of the Daleks. It’s a shame we can’t buy a CD Audio of the Daleks voices. If anyone knows where one can buy them. Please let me know Stephen.

    • Hi Stephen,
      Other than sampling audios of the TV series and/or the Big Finish audio productions I don’t know of anything like a CD of just Dalek voices (but I agree it would be fun!).

      Possibly the closest thing I can suggest is to do your own Dalek voices using something like a free audio package such as Audacity – this basically allows you to record and mix tracks, trim them, add all sorts of sounds effects and so on.

      Someone did a good tutorial on using Audacity to create Dalek voices and – with quite a lot of my own experimentation – I find it works very well (you can also do good Cyberman voices using different settings). It does help enormously if you can do a good-ish Dalek impression to begin with (if what you say doesn’t sound a bit like a Dalek anyway there’s not much that any software can do…) but with a half-way decent vocal and some twiddling with delays, electronic feedback and so on, then the results can be really quite good.
